E-Spectrum manufactures and installs industrial SCADA system components which provide users with the ability to remotely monitor and control a wide variety of processes that are physically disbursed throughout a large manufacturing or industrial facility. The E-Spectrum ESpectrum-Monitor© is a state-of the-art Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system that allows an engineer or technician to utilize a web-browser application, hosted on a desktop computer connected to the facility LAN or internet, to observe and control the real-time operation of processes that are located in various facilities/buildings throughout an industrial complex. |

The ESpectrum-Monitor© automatically gathers and archives process data and allows users to view and analyze historical and trending parameters associated with each process or groups of processes. The ESpectrum-Monitor© provides data monitoring, process control, and analysis functionality via an intuitive Microsoft Windows style, icon-based, graphical user interface (GUI) which provides the user with the ability to quickly and easily generate standardized reports and spreadsheets.

The ESpectrum-Monitor© architecture implementation is based on the industrial automation Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system model. The SCADA system model utilizes a man-machine interface (MMI) to present the process data acquired from the various processes being monitored, allowing each processes operation to be remotely visualized and controlled by an operator. The ESpectrum-Monitor© SCADA system uses a distributed system architecture whereby localized system functionality is maintained by specialized nodes. Each node utilizes an open-standards style communication interface to exchange data and control information with other nodes within the system. This type of distributed open-standards system architecture makes the ESpectrum-Monitor© system easily scalable and helps mitigate obsolescence of individual system components. |
